Trofio is a team sports management app. Features may include team membership, roles and permissions, seasons, events and matches, RSVPs, tasks, fines and payment tracking, invite codes, and push notifications.

We may add, change, or remove features. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Section 3Eligibility and accounts

• You must be legally able to enter into these Terms in your country (typically at least 16, or older if required locally).
• You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure.
• You may sign in with email/password, Google, or Apple where available.
• One natural person should not create accounts to abuse invite codes, evade bans, or disrupt teams.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create security or abuse risk.

Section 4Teams and user content

• Team admins and members control much of the content inside a team (events, fines, tasks, membership decisions).
• You retain rights to content you submit, but you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, and display that content solely to operate the Service.
• You must not upload unlawful, harassing, infringing, or malicious content.
• Invite codes are for authorized team use only. Do not scrape, sell, or brute-force invite codes.
• If you are the sole team admin and delete your account, that team and its data may be permanently deleted for all members. Promote another admin before leaving if you want the team to continue.

Section 5Fines and money

Trofio can record team fines and whether they were marked paid or waived inside the app. Unless we explicitly state otherwise in writing:

• Trofio is not a payment institution, bank, or escrow service.
• In-app “paid” status is a team bookkeeping aid, not proof of a regulated payment.
• Any real-world money transfer happens outside Trofio, between team members, under rules your team sets.
• We are not responsible for disputes about fines, punishments, or payments between teammates.

Section 6Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, disrupt, or overload the Service except as allowed by mandatory law
• Bypass authentication, rate limits, or role-based access controls
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation with a club or team
• Use the Service for spam, phishing, or unlawful surveillance of teammates
• Violate applicable sports association rules, club statutes, or local law while using the Service

Section 7Intellectual property

The Trofio name, branding, app design, and software (excluding your content and third-party club kit assets licensed separately) are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute them except as needed to use the Service under these Terms.

Bundled club kit artwork may be subject to third-party licenses (for example Creative Commons). Those licenses continue to apply.

Section 8Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties such as Supabase, Google (Sign-In / Firebase Cloud Messaging), Apple (Sign in with Apple / App Store), and device OS vendors. Their terms and privacy policies apply to their services. We are not responsible for outages or policy changes of those providers.

Section 9Privacy

Our collection and use of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. By using the Service you acknowledge that processing.

Section 10Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT TEAM DATA WILL NEVER BE LOST OR THAT FEATURES WILL MEET YOUR CLUB’S INTERNAL REQUIREMENTS.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable mandatory consumer law.

Section 11Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or team coordination outcomes arising from your use of the Service.

Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for the Service in that period (if any), or (b) EUR 50.

Section 12Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the Service, your team content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law, except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.

Section 13Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time in Account settings. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) survive termination.

Section 14Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date and may notify you in the app. If you continue using the Service after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms where permitted by law. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and delete your account.

Section 15Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts of the Netherlands have exclusive jurisdiction, except that mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence continue to apply.
